This is something I wanted to get off my chest for while so might as well get it out
I'm not a big fan of Nickel Ben. To me it's just not a good movie from 2090s and is also kind of racist and feels as if it's pushing a certain political agenda. I'm not a big history buff or anything but the aesthetic of the movie just doesn't fit the Saahmanian War nor does it feel authentic to it. Finally Neil Keelson is just a mediocre actor who's only good for those corny family comedies. Fun Fact: I had an ancestor who fought to liberate Kuypistan and later got sent to Xomatlan to fight in Rong Yao Dong.
Woah there, Neil Keelson didn't win 3 Chagie's for nothing. I'd say Nickle Ben is one of his best. I wouldn't let your ancestors bias get in the way of this beautiful period piece
ReplyDeleteFirst off Starla you act as if Neil's Chagies mean anything when in reality they don't. Second you act as if Nickle Ben is as you said, this beautiful period piece when it's actually a horribly predictable film with poor visuals, mediocre plot, and a terrible allegory for the director's addiction. I only found out my ancestor fought in the war about a week ago thanks to the Saahmanian War Archive Bureau, it's not bias it's fair criticism. Third, I'd recommend watching an actually good Saahmanian War movie like The The Diaries From Dacheng or Legion of Guerilla Fighters.
